The Rosablanche rises to a height of 3,396 metres and lies 3.5km to the south-east of Mont Fort. The summit can be easily reached ski touring from Mont Fort.

The Grand Désert Glacier slopes gently northwards down to Siviez; this classic run is ideal for intermediate skiers who want to experience the thrill of a heli-ski drop. The ‘straight-line’ run down the Vallon of Severeu to Fionnay can be steep in parts and should only be undertaken when snow conditions are stable.

The runs down the Vallon de Prafleuri, the Mourti Glacier and the Fenêtre d’Allèves finish in the village of Pralong (Val des Dix) and necessitate some skinning.
A section of the runs down the Prafleuri and de Mourti glaciers edge the famous lake and imposing dam of Grande Dixence.
If you are setting off from Verbier, make sure you have enough time to get back to the 4 Vallées lift system from Les Collons. The last connection leaves at around 2.30pm, otherwise be prepared to take a taxi (make enquiries).

The presence of a mountain guide is compulsory for heli-skiing.
